Mission Spotlight - August

Missions are a large aspect of SmallVerse, just like the original game SmallWorlds. SmallVerse mission creators have been working tremendously hard and creating vast and expansive stories through their missions and I wanted to highlight a couple of my favorites of the past month!  Each title is clickable with a direct link to the space to play the missions!

1. | Lucky Penny - Bella Davinci

The mission starts off with you teleported to a cozy, small apartment where you live. There is a very brief description about Lucky Penny Day, which falls on May 23rd. You navigate around your apartment, and you find the pennies. One will be on your dresser by your sparkling jewelry, on top of your fancy bookshelves, on your kitchen counters, or even spotted outside where you like to relax.

During the end of the mission, you find out how important Lucky Penny Day is, and how much positivity can be spread across, just by the simple gesture of a Penny.

2. | Department of Biology - Luiis xD

To begin the mission, you arrive at Luiis’s Teaching Hospital to take a Biology Class. You head straight to your locker to wear your uniform, and grab your equipment to start learning, and deep-diving into the world of Biology. You ask your professor certain questions, and are shocked with the answers. You find out how certain equipment is used, and the process it takes, to setting up, finding conclusions, and disinfecting, sanitizing, and sterilizing your equipment.

At the end, you realize that Biology is such an enormous part of our lives, you find out that you only learn half of what consists of Biology. You thank your professor for the lessons he taught, and you continue your way to becoming a Biologist.

3. | The Arcade - Doja Cat

 You decided to visit an arcade you have never been to before, that caught your eye. As you scan your ticket to enter, you realize that the arcade is a whole kingdom of gaming, and fun. You first try playing on 3 green arcade games, then play on a pink one that caught your eye, which ends up being your favorite game in the arcade!

As you play, the power kicks out, and you are in sudden darkness. Startled, you try turning the lights back on, but fail. After finding out about this, you call the owner, Doja Cats, up, and you both work together on fixing the arcade machines.

At the end, you thank Doja for the help, and you continue playing the rest of your game, until it is time to leave. As a result, you not only loved the arcade, but decided you wanted to come back again soon.

4. | Story’s Corner Bookshelf - Story Everly

You decided to go to a bookstore to pick out a book as a gift. While doing so, you realize how astonishing the bookstore really is. As you read the “Little Red Hen” book, you smell something delicious… a cozy cafe in the corner lures you in, and you chow down on your cupcake, and take a sip of your savoring Cappuccino. Afterwards, you are on a hunt for a book called “It Ends with Us,” but can’t find it, so Story, the bookstore owner, helps you find the book.

After reading the book, you pick up any extra books that were left lying around, and you pay for both books. You tell Story how much you love the store, and that you will come back, bringing your friends back with you, to spend a day at the lovely Corner Book-Store.
