How to Garden

Mavyn Royal | Tips & Tricks

Gardening is one of the side skills in Smallverse, alongside crafting. This guide will help beginner players learn how to garden and to start sewing seeds!

Gray's Garden

Gardening is the only skill in Smallverse that you don't have to actively spend hours training and leveling up. You plant your seeds, you water them before they dehydrate and then harvest them when they're done growing. You don't have to spend hours in game working on your plants and that alone makes it worth the time and money spent on starting up your farm.

There are two ways to garden, and both start with buying planters.

You can either buy them from the "Shop" button from your task bar at the bottom of your screen. You'll want to go to the "Entertainment" tab and then go to the "Farming" tab and choose the planter(s) you want to buy.

You can also go press on the "Spaces" button on your taskbar and go to "Garden Life" and buy planters there.

After you've bought your planters you'll either want to place them down at your space, or you can go to the profile screen and press the "Tend Plants" button.

When clicking "Tend" on a planter, or inside the Tend Plants screen, you'll see buttons on the bottom of the plant. From left to right they are, seed selection, water bucket, harvest, cross-pollinate. If you have your planters placed in world, you'll have to click on each planter to water it, but you can just press the "Water" button when selected on the pot, to water the plant.

When you're in the planter screen, if you press the left most button to plant a seed, you'll see two tabs inside. "Buy Plants" and "My Stock" are the two categories to plant seeds in a planter. Using "Buy Plants" you will use either gold or tokens to sew a seed into the planter. If you use a "My Stock" seed, it won't cost anything besides the seed itself.

After planting your seed it will have a "Dehydration" and "Mature" timer with the time left next to it. All of the plants have different times for both and you'll want to either check back often to make sure they haven't dehydrated, or check a planting chart.

Once a plant matures, you can either water it once and have it hydrated for 6 days and you don't have to worry about it, or you can harvest it and get more seeds.

Depending on the plant, once you harvest you'll get anywhere between 1-3 seeds. These seeds can either be used to sew more plants, can be sold for a profit, or be used in crafting.

Sewing more seeds to grow into plants help you continue the cycle of gardening and helps you to gain XP from harvesting them.

Selling seeds helps you gain tokens from a renewable source while also getting rid of overstock.

Seeds are used in most crafting recipes, and usually multiple seeds are required for recipes.

Gardening is just another aspect of the ever-growing game that is Smallverse, while gardening isn't required to play the game at all, it is fun to level up your skills and gain more knowledge about different aspects of the game. And it's useful to help newer players gain more tokens, level up their avatar, and get some nice crafted furniture for their home.
