Mission Spotlight - June

 Mavyn Royal | Missions

Missions are a large aspect of SmallVerse, just like the original game SmallWorlds. SmallVerse mission creators have been working tremendously hard and creating vast and expansive stories through their missions and I wanted to highlight a couple of my favorites! This is going to be a new monthly shoutout for missions to help bring some promotion to them as well as show off how wonderful they are! Each title is clickable with a direct link to the space to play the missions!

1. | Three Elemental Siblings - Lebkuchen Norway

In this mission, you are facing against three different siblings. Mr. Ice, Mr. Fire, and Nature Sister. Throughout the mission you defeat the brothers and take their essence to restore peace to the realms. You go throughout the story, learning the history and reason why the brothers have turned evil. After taking their essences you give them to Nature Sister, to keep the realms at peace.

After you're done going through the mission you end up in the main starting room, realizing you were just immersed in the story, as you're telling your grandchildren about the story, as you realize that's all it is, just a story.

I honestly believe this was a really great mission, with a great story, that keeps the player engaged! I love seeing missions from Lebkuchen, and I can't wait to see even more from him!

2. | Night Shift at Midnight Lounge - Sciel Addison

In this mission, you are a worker at the Midnight Lounge. The mission starts with you getting off the bus and preparing for your night shift. You go throughout the mission doing various tasks to clean up like wiping down counters, restocking, and watering plants while you get ready to open up the bar.

 Once the bar is open, you actually take orders and make the drinks! There are bottles on the back counters to make the cocktails, as well as a sheet for the recipes! As you make the drinks for the customers you learn backstory about some of them as well, learning there's a standup comedian from SmallWorlds doing a tour around SmallVerse, a woman getting work piled up with deadlines just needing to unwind, a husband in need of flowers for his wife, and more!

I adore this mission, from actually making the drinks to learning about the different customers backstories. I love realistic missions in this way, to see another perspective on a job that I personally haven't worked before! Can't wait to see more missions from Sciel!

3. | Rosewood Pet Clinic - Part 1 - Macy Rosewood

Rosewood Pet Clinic is a great mission! You start the mission getting ready for your day of work, opening the door, checking the mail, turning on the lights. You go through the mission helping a woman named Elizabeth and her dog Elvis.

You take care of the pup, weighing him, checking his vitals, giving him treats. You end up giving the dog a vaccine and sending him and Elizabeth on their way. You have a light lunch and get back to work!

 Super short and sweet mission, a great first mission for Macy! I cannot wait to see Part 2!

4. | Let's Make Brownies! - Gstar Daflyesttt

This mission is pretty simple! You're making brownies! Gathering ingredients, adding them to the mixer and creating! You go through the different steps until you have brownies! You of course start by washing your hands and putting on your apron. Getting the ingredients and mixing them together. Set the timer for the brownies and wait till they're done!

Super quick and simple mission, but it was one of the first that I played on SmallVerse, so I had to showcase it here! Love the missions G! Keep 'em coming!

5. | The Package - Nyx Davinci

For our last mission of this spotlight, we have "The Package" by Nyx Davinci! Nyx is a prevalent mission creator on SmallVerse and has her own Mission Island. This mission takes place at your home. Your neighbor asked you to watch for packages while they're going out of town.

After coming home, you get out of your car and put the package that was delivered, into your garage for safe keeping. While moving the package you drop it and hear a loud thud as the package hits the ground. Moving on, you're on the phone with your friend Bill, talking about the smell the package is omitting.

You believe it's one of those "Meat Subscription" Boxes, that you just didn't know to put in the fridge so the meat has gone bad. But you go investigate anyways. After gearing up with mask, gloves, bleach and a trash bag, you go to the garage to search through the box. I'll let this next picture speak for itself.

You find not just meat, but the full body of your decomposing neighbor, in the box. After calling the cops, they take your story, and open up the box to reveal a vlogging camera. You and the police watch the video, seeing that your neighbor shipped himself. Hearing him talk to himself about where he thinks he's at, until the last clip played. The last thing you you see is the box toppling over, and your neighbors neck snapping. The police rule his death as an accident.

This was a PHENOMINAL mission! The story, the twists and turns and not knowing what to expect at the end! This is one of the few missions I've played on SmallVerse, even from original Smallworlds, that has kept my attention and has actually stuck with me. I adore Nyx's mission and I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!
